Antichrist future? Or, anti-Christ present?

The whole, Satan-fearing, end-time 'Antichrist-is-coming' theory is nothing more than a flashy illusion given to take the focus off the real anti-Christ; the only anti-Christ who can do real damage to believers.

Christ warned us!

In his Book of Revelation, Christ made no mention at all of a human Antichrist world-ruler. Yet, he devoted four whole chapters to explaining the cunning, trickery and deception of his bride's only human nemesis.

The Great Whore of Babylon!

If it was important to Christ to put such effort into warning us about the Great Whore of Babylon, why are we ignoring his warning? Why are we allowing ourselves to be side-tracked by a fantasy, a single person in the future, a mere an illusion?

The Great Whore is Satan's true servant on earth, and always has been! She is not a single human figure, for she has been around for centuries. She is not a church organisation, for she existed before Christ was born. Yet, she is thoroughly human and seen in every generation.

She is deception itself!

In his warning, Jesus told us who she is, what she does, how she does it, and what we should look for. Finally, he warned us to 'come out from her', lest we be destroyed with her when she is judged by him on the day of her very public annihilation.

Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues. For her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. (Rev.18:4-5)
Therefore, in one day her plagues will overtake her; death, mourning and famine. She will be consumed by fire, for mighty is the Lord God who judges her. (Rev.18:8)

What does this mean?

What are we supposed to 'come out of'? While ever our eyes are focused on a non-existent enemy, the real enemy remains free to entrap, enslave and 'bring us into' a way of living which could cost us everything.

Why aren't we being warned about this?

Millions of Christians have been led to believe Satan's beastly antichrist spirit will come to the earth as a single human person for one moment in time, but that's just not true. The Whore of Babylon is and has always been Satan's human servant on earth.

All the sins of the world, all the suffering, all the destruction, all the slaying of Christians is her doing. She is responsible for all of it! This is not going to change! She boasts of her evil and holds her abominations up high, with intense pride. And in the end, Christ punishes her for her rebellion against God and her hatred of his people.

She is Revelation's human anti-Christ!

She held a golden cup in her hand filled with her abominations and the filth of her adulteries. I saw the the woman was drunk with the blood of God's holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. (Rev.17:4-6)

Who is she?

She is many people, races, nations and languages. The only human anti-Christ mentioned in Revelation is the Great Whore who will be found in multitudes of people all over the world, for she represents them all.

The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages. (Rev.17:15)

She is already here!

The Great Whore works closely with 'the beast' and carries out his will on earth. She is not one person; she is many! 'She' is male and female. She is the antichrist spirit the Apostle John, who wrote the Book of Revelation, warned us about!

Dear children, this is the last hour, and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. (1Jn.2:18)

Christ expects his redeemed to recognise the Great Whore. Otherwise, he would not have told us to 'come out of her'. We can't come out of a single 'person', but we can come out of a way of thinking.

She and 'the beast' think the same way!

The ten-horned beast, the two-horned beast and the Great Whore of Babylon all work together to do Satan's will on earth. The ten-horned beast carries the woman wherever she wants to go. The three all work together towards one evil goal.

And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. (Rev.17:3)

Though Satan's beasts carry the Great Whore and guide her in her all ways, they hate her with a passion. In the end they betray her and destroy her.

The beast and the ten-horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked. They will eat her flesh and burn her with fire. (Rev.17:16)

In complete ignorance of their hatred of her, the Great Whore makes herself 'one' with the two beasts of Revelation. The three of them think the same way, act the same way and serve Satan the same way.

This is good news for the redeemed. It means that if we understand the character of the ten-horned beast and how he thinks, we will understand the character of the Whore of Babylon, Satan's human face on earth.

And, we will recognise her human form!

Can we understand the character of the ten-horned beast? We sure can! Christ spelt it out clearly. And when we recognise the actual living, breathing people, who are acting according to his character, we will be able to 'come out from them'.

The first thing we are shown about the ten-horned beast of Revelation is that he is not a fixed 'location' on earth. He is walking and roaring. He has seven lion heads, a leopard body and four bear-claw feet. He is the 'roaring lion' Jesus warned us about.

Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (1Pet.5:8)

The second thing we are shown is this beast is already defeated. Despite the fact his head was severely wounded at Calvary, he still arrogantly assumes he can take worship away from God and Christ.

One of the heads of the beast seemed to have a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. (Rev.13:3)

This insight into his nature shows he is running on pure pride, trying to gain subjects in a world Christ has ensured he will never rule again.

The third thing we are shown is this description was given by God to glorify Christ. He was sent by Satan to do one thing only. Make war against those who keep the Commandments of God and bear testimony to Jesus.

He (Satan) went off to make war on...those who keep the Commandments of God and bear testimony to Jesus... (Rev.12:10)
  • It is no mistake the beast has ten horns. There are Ten Commandments!

  • It is no mistake the beast has seven blasphemous heads. There are seven spirits, or names, of Christ. (Rev.5:6)

When we know the beast exists only to tear down the Commandments and bring blasphemy to Jesus, we can see why Jesus told us would overcome him by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. (Rev.12:11)

What does this tell us about the Whore of Babylon?

The first thing it tells us is she is roaming around, like Satan, seeking to devour our faith, hope and love for God and Christ. Like the beast, she will hunt us with speed, she will roar out lies, and she will viciously tear at our lives to get us to take our eyes off Christ.

The second thing it tells us is she is filled with pride. No matter how many times she may be defeated, she will still arrogantly believe those who worship God and Christ are fools and will do everything in her power to prove them fools.

The third thing it tells us is she, like Satan and his beasts, will use everything she can (including money and the buying and selling of souls - Rev.18:13) to tempt, trick, trap or deceive God's people into breaking the Commandments or bringing blasphemy to the name of Jesus, or both.

People who try to convince us our belief in Christ is wrong in some way, or try to seduce us with all manner of worldly things, or attack us with lies or persecutions, are showing the nature of the beast and the woman who rides him. We cannot appease them. We will never convince them. We cannot agree with them.

They are the ones we are called to 'come out from'!

These three things are designed to get us to take our eyes off Christ, to doubt him, to lose hope in him and to ultimately disobey God's commands. If we succumb to these beastly temptations, we compromise our relationship with both God and Christ.

Christ calls this dual betrayal, 'worship of the beast'.

Such a simple message! Yet, this very simple message has been made complicated by the addition of an 'illusion'. The whole purpose of the futuristic, single-human, 'Antichrist,' world-ruler illusion, is to take our eyes off the real human anti-Christ, the Great Whore, so she can continue to deceive the elect, unabated.

A demonic ploy!

While we continue to look for some flashy, 'future' antichrist, we will never notice the many current antichrists standing right in front of us.
